WSU wins Emporia tournament

Brian Box and Eric Robinson continued to collect tournament wins, this time at Emporia State University.  They defeated Kansas State 3-0 in the finals.

Brian and Eric were 4-2 in the preliminary rounds.  They defeated North Texas, Central Oklahoma and UMKC on the way to the finals. Eric was the top speaker at the tournament.  Brian was 6th.

Creighton Coleman and Matt Munday also advanced to the elimination rounds with a 4-2 record.  They lost 2-1 to Central Oklahoma in the octafinals.  Creighton was the 12th speaker at the tournament.

Six other WSU debaters competed in the open division at the tournament, including Mia Bonitto, Brittany Coats, Tom Garvey, Tyler Joe, Franklin Katschke and Adam Courtelyou.
