Success over the winter break

WSU debate teams competed at two tournaments held over the winter break.

Creighton Coleman and Matt Munday advanced to the quarterfinals at the University of North Texas.  They advanced with a 5-2 preliminary record.  They defeated the University of Iowa in the doubles and scored a stunning win over top-seeded Baylor in the octafinals.  They lost 2-1 to Emporia in the quarters.

Brian Box and Eric Robinson returned to competition after a long break and advanced to the elimination rounds at Texas-Dallas.  They earned a preliminary record of 6-1.  They defeated Richmond in the doubles and Trinity in the octas.  They lost 2-1 to Emory in the quarterfinals.  Eric was the 5th speaker at the tournament.
